March 2018
In last month’s President’s Message, I mentioned that our Main Office will be undergoing an ambitious expansion / modernization very soon. The project plan calls for multiple phases and Phase One is about to begin. I wanted to let our customers know that a construction start date of March 9th has been finalized and inform you of some of the changes that will be occurring over the first 30 days or so.
Beginning next week, our Franklin Office teller line will be closed and a new, temporary teller line will be created. This should be complete by Monday, March 12th. Access to all areas of the Franklin Branch will remain open, including offices, the walk-up ATM and the safe deposit box area. You may see temporary plywood walls constructed, have to walk in designated areas and experience occasional noise from demolition and construction. You may or may not see that our fish tank will be covered. Plans are to keep the tank in its present location.
Once Phase One is complete, construction will shift to other parts of the branch and the building at large. Our walk-up ATM will close in early April and be replaced with a new machine in a new part of the branch. Our night deposit drop will also be moving. Separate communication to those business customers who use the night drop is forthcoming. There are no plans to move the drive-up lanes or the drive-up ATM and they will remain operational throughout the project.
Though our design/build partner promises to do everything possible to minimize the creation of dust and dirt, it will be impossible to completely eliminate it. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this project creates for customers and visitors to our 21 Main St. location. Our Marketing Dept. will be posting signage throughout the branch and we’ll also have a visual rendering of what the finished product will look like.
Be on the lookout for raffles to be held in the branch as a small token of our appreciation for your continued business as this project commences. We’re excited for everyone to see the finished product and we THANK YOU for trusting us with your business.
Sincerely,
Kevin Goffe
